DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men's tennis team dropped their first conference match of the year 9-0 against North Carolina Wesleyan College Wednesday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Averett (5-5, 2-1 USA South) fell in straight sets in each singles matchup. Senior
Thomas Woodcock had the tightest matchup falling 3-6, 4-6, at No. 5 singles.
N.C. Wesleyan (15-2, 2-0 USA South) took all three doubles matches as well.
The Cougars are back in action Sunday at Pfeiffer University at 1 p.m.
