The Series: The Cougars are 9-20-1 all-time against the Panthers dating back to the 1993 season. Averett's currently in a six-game losing streak and fell 4-1 back in 2019 the last time these two teams faced off.
Averett at a Glance: The Cougars are coming off a 1-6 season in 2020-21 and look to start off this true 2021 year in the right direction. Head coach Meghan Mauzy-Fleming will look for many young players to step up this year as well as a solid core of seniors that she did not have last year. Just in her second season with the program, she is excited to finally have some normalcy and the chance for the team to play a true fall schedule.
