Averett at a Glance: Averett, the defending USA South Conference East Division champion, was picked as the preseason favorite in the East again in 2021. The Cougars have opened the season 7-0, including four wins in their own Cougar Classic last weekend. That success continued on Friday when the Cougars beat Piedmont University 3-0 and Maryville College 3-1.
