DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University junior kicker Will Caviness was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week on Tuesday.

Caviness, from Greensboro, North Carolina, was named the USA South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for the second week in a row on Monday. He had another stellar week by going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, including the eventual game-winning 37-yard boot in overtime. He also set a new career-long make when he hit on a 46-yarder as time expired on the first half. He also hit from 26 yards out in the fourth quarter.
