Averett vs. Maryville
The Series: Maryville leads the all-time series 10-7, but the two teams have alternated wins over the last four meetings. Maryville held on in last spring's meeting, 27-24. Averett has a 5-4 edge in games played in Danville.
Averett at a Glance: Averett is riding a two-game win streak following its 48-2 conference-opening win at Greensboro College last Saturday. Averett's passing offense ranks in the top 15 in the country thanks to three consecutive 300-yard passing games by junior quarterback
Bryce Jackson, who has earned USA South Offensive Player of the Week honors two weeks in a row. Averett has four receivers over 100 yards for the season. The defense, meanwhile, didn't allow Greensboro's offense to score a point and limited them to 65 yard of total offense.
