HAMPTON, Va. — The Averett University wrestling team rolled past Apprentice School 42-12 in the first round of the Virginia Duals on Friday at the Hampton Coliseum. 
 
The Cougars only dropped two matches at the 125 and the 235 weight class. Averett will get ready to face Liberty University, which is the No. 3 seed in the tournament behind Averett, which came in as the No. 2 seed. Liberty beat Johns Hopkins University 25-17 to advance to the second round to face Averett at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
