FOREST, Va. — Averett University volleyball junior
Sarah Marlowe was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
Marlowe, a native of Danville, helped the Cougars go 2-0 last week while averaging 4.00 kills per set with a .287 hitting percentage and six total blocks. She had 18 kills while hitting .375 in Averett's 3-2 win over Washington and Lee University, ending the Generals' 33-match winning streak in ODAC play. She also had 14 kills in a 3-0 win over Guilford College.
Marlowe becomes the first Averett volleyball player to earn a weekly honor from the ODAC in the Cougars' first season as a member of the conference.
