ATLANTA, Ga. - The Averett University volleyball team fell to the College of Wooster 3-2 and No. 11 Emory University 3-1 on Friday in non-conference action.
Averett (15-9, 9-2 ODAC) fell in a five-set heart breaker, 25-21, 26-28, 27-25, 22-25 and 8-15 to Wooster (6-12, 1-5 NCAC) to open play at the Emory University Invitational.

Emma Nash recorded a double-double in the match. Nash tallied 12 kills, 25 digs, four aces and three blocks. Sophomore
Dayton Moore handed out 24 assists in the match while junior
Erin Gray had 26 digs in the outing.
The Cougars fell 3-1in the second match of the day 12-25, 25-20, 14-25 and 10-25 to No. 11 Emory (14-6, 4-3 UAA).
Nash recorded 14 kills in the match while freshman
Rachel Green has nine. Sophomore
Kinsley Stevens dished out 14 assists in the match while Gray tallied 20 digs.
Averett is back in action tomorrow at 11 a.m. when it plays St. Mary's College (Ind.) to wrap up competition at the Emory University Invitational.
