DANVILLE, Va. - The Averett University women's soccer team fell to Ferrum College 5-2 on on Wednesday night on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
Ferrum (6-6-2, 3-5-1 ODAC) netted its first goal of the night in the 17th minute.
Averett (5-8-2, 3-5-1 ODAC) would net its first goal of the game in the 43rd minute of play from sophomore
Celia de Diego, her seventh goal of the season.
The Panthers would net their fourth goal of the night in the 50th minute of the match.
Averett would cut the lead in half from freshman
Gianna Minafo assisted de Diego and
Erika Lindstrom in the 85th minute of play to bring the game score to 4-2.
Ferrum would add an insurance goal in the 88th minute of play bringing the final game score to 5-2.
