Averett vs. Shenandoah
The Series: Averett is 4-8 all-time against Shenandoah, but the two haven't met since 2011 when the two were last conference mates in the USA South Conference The Hornets won the last two meetings before moving to the ODAC, where the Cougars joined them this season.
Averett at a Glance: Averett returns home to host Shenandoah University for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday. The Cougars are looking to end a four-game skid after falling to Bridgewater College 23-16 on the road last weekend.
Shenandoah at a Glance: Shenandoah, meanwhile, is coming off a 35-21 home loss to nationally ranked Randolph-Macon College last Saturday.
At the Game: It's Kids Day Averett. The parking lot opens for tailgating at 7 a.m. and kids activities begin at noon. There will be a bounce house, arts and crafts, mascot meet and greets with the Cougars, Scotter the Otter from the Danville Otterbots, Spiderman and more! ... Averett dance and cheer will perform at halftime with kids who attended their camp last weekend ... All kids will have the opportunity to come onto the field at halftime for a dance party with cheer and dance.
