Harris records career night in women's basketball's loss at Johnson & Wales (N.C.)

CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The Averett University women's basketball team fell on the road to Johnson & Wales University (N.C.) by a score of 71-59 on Saturday.

Averett's 12 unanswered points in the second quarter wasn't enough to overcome Johnson & Wales (N.C.) high powered offense.
Freshman Elisa Harris had a career night for Averett (2-9, 0-6 ODAC) with 19 points, while junior Jihnez Hutchinson pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. Junior Talia Prosper chipped in 13 points with junior Natija Pate having seven rebounds in the outing.

As a team, the Cougars had 41 rebounds and 10 assists in the game. Averett scored 28 of its 59 points in the paint while the bench scored 15 points.

Averett is back in action tomorrow night when it travles to Methodist University for a 5 p.m. tipoff.
