DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's basketball fell 61-49 in its last game of the season to Mary Baldwin University Sunday afternoon inside the Grant Center.
Averett (6-19, 6-12 USA South) was led by sophomore
Shunte Bethea who had nine points and five rebounds along with senior
Rana Davis-Robinson who added eight points and six rebounds.
Mary Baldwin (13-9, 9-7 USA South) carried a 17-point lead into halftime.
The Cougars were able to cut into the Mary Baldwin lead by outscoring the Fighting Squirrels 19-8 in the third quarter but ran out of gas down the stretch.

This concludes the 2021-22 season for the Cougars.
