DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men's lacrosse team got back in the win column with a 11-5 win over Husson University on Thursday afternoon on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium. 
Averett (3-2) saw two Cougars tally hat tricks as sophomores 
Connor Taff and 
Liam Taylor led all scorers with three goals each. Seniors, 
Parker Corbett and 
Tyler Moodie added two goals apiece while fellow senior 
Mike Michaud tallied a goal and two assists. 
Husson (2-5) led the Cougars 2-1 at the end of the first quarter but gave up three second period goals to head into half trailing 4-3. Averett was able to out score the Eagles 5-0 in the final quarter of play to get back in the win column after going on a two-game skid.  
Senior 
Caleb Chester earned 11 saves in the win for Averett.
The Cougars return to action Saturday when they travel to Oglethorpe University at 1 p.m.
