Softball's Saturday home opener with Randolph postponed

DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University softball's home opener scheduled for Saturday, March 12, against Randolph College has been postponed because of inclement weather in the forecast.

With rain expected to hit the region for most of the day on Saturday, the teams decided to postpone the non-conference doubleheader for a date to be determined later this season.

Averett is still scheduled to host Bridgewater College on Sunday.
