HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. — Averett University baseball lost a non-conference road game 15-3 to Hampden-Sydney College on Wednesday.
Averett (1-8) opened with a 1-0 lead in the first inning on senior
Avery Spicer's RBI double down the left field line. However, Hampden-Sydney (5-2) answered with three runs in the bottom of the first and five more in the second inning to take the lead.
Spicer added his second RBI of the day on a run-scoring groundout in the sixth, and freshman
