On Thursday, Averett led 1-0 early but an eight-run inning helped Southern Virginia take Game 1 of the three-game series. The Knights took Game 2 after breaking a 6-6 tie with a run in the top of the ninth. Averett will honor its senior class prior to Saturday's game at 12:45 p.m.
