RALEIGH, N.C. — The Averett University women's tennis program earned a 9-0 win over conference foe Meredith College on Wednesday afternoon.
Averett rolled winning every singles match in straight sets. At No. 1 singles, freshman
Maxence Lippens won the first singles match of the day 6-3, 6-0. Senior
Inka Zeilstra earned a 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 3 singles while sophomore
Paula Ryhsen also won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Linnea Sjostrom Krook also all picked up wins for the Cougars in singles action.
Averett also dominated doubles taking every match. In No. 1 doubles, Lippens and Krook won the tightest match of the day 8-7 (7-5). At No. 2 doubles, Zeilstra and Gunning rolled to a 8-1 victory while Ryhsen and Garcia earned a 8-0 victory at the No. 3 doubles.
The Cougars are back in action when they travel to Greensboro College on Saturday at 10 a.m.
