DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's lacrosse senior
Elizabeth Peasley scored her 300th career goal as the Cougars set a program record in a 24-0 non-conference win over Hollins University on Wednesday night on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.

Peasley finished with five goals and four assists, but it was her fourth goal that was for the milestone, which gave the Cougars a 10-0 lead with 9:34 left in the first quarter.
Averett (10-3) had little trouble with Hollins (0-5) from the start, scoring 13 goals in the opening quarter and eight in the second to take a 21-0 advantage into halftime. The Cougars tacked on three goals in the third quarter to increase its lead to 24-0.
In additions to Peasley's nine-point night, freshman
Faith Bowlin had four goals and three assists and junior
Kelsey Steckroth had four goals as well as 13 different Cougars scored. Peasley led the team with nine draw controls while Bowlin had six. Peasley also had a team-best eight ground balls and Bowlin grabbed seven.
Averett set a program record for largest margin of victory, surpassing the old mark of 22 in the Cougars' 26-4 win over Salem College in 2019.
