ROCKY MOUNT, N.C.— The Averett University women's lacrosse team stormed past North Carolina Wesleyan University 18-4 on Wednesday afternoon.

Averett (8-3, 6-1 USA South) has now won four games in a row.Â
The Cougars were able to shut out N.C. Wesleyan (4-9, 3-3 USA South) 11-0 at the half. Freshman
Faith Bowlin led Averett with five goals while senior
Adriana Perez pitched in with four goals.

Elizabeth Peasley netted a hat trick while also adding one assist.Â
