Women's golf's home VSGA Intercollegiate postponed until spring

DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University women's golf program was scheduled to host the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) Intercollegiate on Oct. 3-4 at Goodyear Golf Club, but that tournament has been postponed due to inclement weather in the forecast related to Hurricane Ivan.

Averett and the VSGA will look to reschedule the two-round event during the spring competition season.

Averett women's golf has one more tournament scheduled during the fall season. The Cougars head to the Southern Virginia University Knights Invitational on Oct. 10.
