The Events: Averett enters Day 2 of the competition with a 1-1 record. The Cougars defeated Davis and Elkins College 39-3 and took a narrow loss to Elizabethtown College 19-17. The Cougars are slated to face Johns Hopkins University to start the day. 
Averett at a Glance:The Cougars, ranked No. 22 in the nation in the  National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III tournament team rankings, enter their fifth dual competition with a 11-6 record. In their last dual competition, the Cougars defeated Shenandoah University 46-9. Graduate student Alex Turley won Old Dominion Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week honors. Sophomore Mason Barrett is ranked number eight in the NWCA national rankings at 125 pounds. In the 157-pound weight class sophomore Jesse Alvarado is ranked seventh in the nation and is currently 16-0 overall. The Cougars currently have seven regionally ranked wrestlers.
