Women's soccer falls to Ferrum

FERRUM, Va. - Averett University women's soccer dropped its road contest to Ferrum College 2-0 on Tuesday night in conference action.

Averett (4-7-2, 1-4 ODAC) held Ferrum (7-41, 2-3 ODAC) scoreless for nearly 70 minutes. The Panthers broke the stalemate with a goal in the 69th minute of action and added an insurance goal in the 77th minute of play.

As a team, the Cougars had four players record shots on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Tiia Chrons made five saves through 90 minutes between the pipes.

Averett is back in action on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against Bridgewater for Homecoming.
