LEXINGTON, Va. — Averett University women's soccer fell to Washington and Lee University 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Krista Hinebaugh had an impressive outing, making nine saves on 13 shots on goal.
Washington and Lee (11-2-4, 7-1-2 ODAC) found the back of the net early in the match, scoring in the 12th minute of play. Averett (6-10-2, 3-7 ODAC) managed to hold the Generals to one goal for almost the rest of the half until they scored in the final four minutes of the half to lead the Cougars 2-0.
The Generals tacked on two more goals in the second half. One was scored in the first two minutes of the half and the other was a penalty kick in the 81st minute.
