DANVILLE, Va. - The Averett University women's tennis team swept Randolph-Macon College 9-0 at home on Saturday.
Averett (3-0 2-0) took all three doubles points from Randolph-Macon (2-2, 1-2 ODAC).
Sophomore
Keira Gunning took down her opponent 6-3,6-3 at No. 1 singles. Junior Paula Rhysen swept Grace Holderman 6-0,6-0 at the No. 2 slot.
Brenda
Poulakidas took down Catherine Mowry 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3 singles.
Alejandra Garcia swept Katie Sarnowski 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
At No. 5 singles, Daniela
Poulakidas defeated Adele Huffman 6-0, 6-2 and at No. 6 singles
Amelie Brune beat Matty Grace Gilliam 6-0, 6-1.
Averett is back in action Saturday, March 11 when they face Guilford College at home at 1 p.m.
