Misenheimer, N.C. - Averett University women's tennis blanked Pfeiffer University 9-0 on the road Thursday, earning the team's 10th win of the season and sixth sweep of the year.

In singles play, Gunning rolled past Rekieta 6-1, 6-2 at #1. Ryhsen downed Hudson 6-2, 6-0 at the #2 slot. At #3
Brenda Poulakidas downed Riley Isley 6-1, 6-0,
Daniela Poulakidas picked up a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over Emily Moore.
At #5 freshman
Amelie Brune rolled past Delaney Geygan 6-0, 6-1 and at #6 singles freshman
Franka Keil topped Ruth Hill 6-2, 6-0.
Averett is back in action on Friday when it hosts Hollins University at 3 p.m.
