Bowlin, Peasley earn All-ODAC honors for women's lacrosse

FOREST, Va. — Averett University women's lacrosse graduate student Elizabeth Peasley and sophomore Faith Bowlin were both selected to the 2023 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Second Team, the league announced Wednesday.

Peasley, an attacker who recently became NCAA women's lacrosse's all-time leader in career goals scored, netted a team-high 77 goals, 17 assists and 94 points this season. The native of Wilmington, North Carolina, finished her career with 389 goals in 85 games along with 448 career points, which unofficially ranks sixth all-time in NCAA Division III history. This spring, Peasley had 50 draw controls, 18 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers.

Bowlin, a midfielder from Abingdon, Maryland, was second on the team with 52 goals, 13 assists and 65 points. She led Averett with 106 draw controls with 37 ground balls, and she totaled 17 caused turnovers.

Averett completed its first season as members of the ODAC this spring, finishing in a tie for fifth in the standings.
