Averett vs. VUL/Pfeiffer
The Series vs. VUL: This is the first-ever meeting between Averett and VUL in women's volleyball.
The Series vs. Pfeiffer: Averett is 10-1 all-time against Pfeiffer during the Cougars' days in the USA South Athletic Conference. Averett has won two in a row in the series from when they last played in 2021.
Averett at a Glance: Averett opened the season by going 3-1 at its own Cougar Classic. Although the Cougars went 0-3 against good competition at Case Western Reserve University's quad match, Averett got back on track in its ODAC opener with a 3-1 win at University of Lynchburg on Tuesday night.
VUL at a Glance: The Dragons have opened the year 0-4 after losses to three Division II schools and one NAIA school. VUL was swept in three of those matches and lost the other 3-1 with a roster of only freshmen.
Pfeiffer at a Glance: The Falcons opened the season with wins over Warren Wilson College and N.C. Wesleyan University on Sept. 2, but were idle until opening USA South play at home against Methodist University on Wednesday. The Falcons lost that match 3-1.
