FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Averett University women's soccer fell to Methodist University on the road 2-0 on Wednesday night.
The Monarchs notched their first goal of the match in the 17th minute and another in the 53rd minute.
Five different Cougars recorded one shot on goal, while Methodist recorded seven from five different players.

Krista Hinebaugh each spent 45 minute between the pipes. Hargett pciked up three saves while Hinebaugh recorded two.
Averett is back in action on Saturday at home against the Fighting Squirrels of Mary Baldwin University. Start time is slated for 1 p.m.
