Box Score CLEVELAND, Ohio - Averett University women's volleyball fell in straight sets to Case Western Reserve University on Friday evening.
Case Western Reserve (5-1) opened up the match on an 8-0 run over Averett (3-2) to set the tone for the rest of the match. The Cougars fell 25-20 in both sets 1 and 2 before falling 26-24 in set 3.
Senior
Emma Nash led the offensive efforts hammering nine kills with a .222 hitting percentage. Junior
Kinsley Stevens handed out 16 assists while sophomore
Dayton Moore had 13. Stevens also led the team in digs with 16 while senior
Erin Gray totaled 14. Freshman
Allie Wilkerson and Nash each recorded two blocks for Averett.
Averett is back in action tommorrow morning at 10 a.m. when it faces Mount Union on Day 2 of the CWRU Quad.
