The Series: Averett trails the all-time series 2-5 with Washington and Lee. The Generals have won the last three meetings, including last year 25-20 in Danville. Washington and Lee is 1-2 against Averett on its home field.
Averett at a Glance: Averett University opens Old Dominion Athletic Conference play at Washington and Lee University on Saturday. The Cougars are coming off a bye week following a tough 36-10 non-conference loss to Ferrum College on Sept. 21. ... Junior running back Gaby Soto leads the ODAC with 316 rushing yards this season and  ranks second in the ODAC in rushing yards per game with 105.3 per contest through three games. He has two touchdowns and averaged 5.6 yards per carry.
