— Averett University women's volleyball had its season come to a close as the Cougars' lost 3-0 to No. 12 Washington and Lee University in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinals on Tuesday night.
Eighth-seeded Averett (12-19, 6-6 ODAC) fell to top-seeded Washington and Lee (30-2, 12-0 ODAC) by scores of 25-13, 25-17 and 25-18, eliminating the Cougars as the Generals advanced to the semifinals.

Emma Nash tallied 17 of the team's 32 total kills to close out the season. Junior
Dayton Moore led the Cougars' offense with 19 assists, while fellow setter senior
Kinsley Stevens had 11. To end the season, fifth year libero
Erin Gray dominated the Cougars' defense with 23 digs to add to her program career record.
