DANVILLE, Va. - Averett University men's lacrosse fell to Life University at home on Saturday 15-4.

Life's (1-0) jumped out to a 1-0 lead just over a minute in the game from Jacob Long. Averett (0-2) tied things up at 1-1 from junior Brayton Powers goal assisted by sophomore Tigran Ceesay with 11:43 left in the first quarter. The Running Eagles scored seven-straight goals to take am 8-1 lead into halftime.

Life scored two more times to open the second half before Ceesay followed up is earlier assist with a goal of his own from Powers. Life score three goals in-a-row to extend its lead to 13-2. Sophomore Emmett Wood answered back with man-up goal with 9:07 left in the fourth, putting the score at 13-3. The Running Eagles answered Wood's goal by scoring back-to-back goals. Ceesay scored his second goal of the game with 37 seconds left to bring the final score to 15-4.
