Caleb Kimbrough earned a seventh-place finish as No. 16/20 Averett University men's golf finished tied for ninth as a team Monday at Hampden-Sydney College's Tiger Invitational on the par-72, 6,925-yard North Course at Forest Creek Golf Club.
Kimbrough, who was tied for the lead after Sunday's opening 18 holes, shot 3-over during Tuesday's final round to finish with a 1-over 145 over 36 holes. Four golfers tied for the best score at 2-under.
As a team, Averett shot a collective 28-over for the tournament to finish 21 strokes behind winner Huntingdon College.

Killian O'Reilly finished at 8-over for the tournament, sophomore
Miguel Rodriguez Lamana was 9-over, freshman
Johnny Stewart was 10-over and freshman
John Keba finished at 22-over.
Next, Averett will play at the 51st Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate Championship, beginning April 5.
