DANVILLE, Va.
— Averett University men's lacrosse fell to Otterbein University 24-0 on Monday on Daly Field at Frank R. Campbell Stadium.
Otterbein (1-3) tallied six goals in the first 15 minutes of play and tacked on five more in the second quarter. The Cardinals scored four goals in the opening five minutes of the second half before Averett's (1-6) defense held the Cardinals scoreless for the last 10 minutes of the third quarter. The Cardinals offense scored nine goals in th fourth to win 24-0.
Sophomore
Cameron Prutzman made 17 shaves between the pipes over 41 shots on goal faced.
As a team the Cougars had eight shots on goal, 21 ground balls and had three caused turnovers.
Averett is back in action when it hosts Husson University at 1 p.m.
