The Series: Averett is 11-20 all-time against Hampden-Sydney dating back to 1978-79. The Tigers have won the last four meetings, including both matchups last season. In their last meeting, Hampen-Sydney won 81-52 in Danville on Feb. 7, 2024.

The Cougars are fresh off an 86-66 home win over Eastern Mennonite University last Saturday. ... In Averett's last game, graduate student Jason Sellars II moved into fifth all-time on the Averett men's basketball rebounds list with 667 career rebounds, passing David Apple (1997-2000) at 662 boards. He is just behind Carter Jones (2012-16), who ranks fourth at 671 career rebounds. Sellars also moved into 20th all-time in scoring. He just surpassed Cory McDaniel (2004-08) and Andrew Boor (2003-07), who scored at 935 points. No. 19 on the list is Kenny Hart (2007-11), who had 979 career points. ...
