The Series: Roanoke and Averett have only faced off twice in program history, with the Maroons taking both thus far. Last time the two met in 2024, Roanoke shut out the Cougars 29-0 in Salem. 
Averett at a Glance: Despite outscoring William Peace 8-7 over the last three periods, it wasn't enough to overcome its first period shortcomings as Averett dropped its first game of 2025 to visitors William Peace, 12-9 last Saturday. Emmett Wood led the Cougars with four goals, his second straight game leading Averett in that mark. Giovanni d'Amico caused a game-high four turnovers, and freshman Robbie Isenhour made his collegiate debut in net, making eight saves. 
Roanoke at a Glance: Wyatt Whitlow and Luca Docking starred in Roanoke's 28-6 win over Southern Virginia on Tuesday. After the Knights got on the board first, an 11-1 second period was the catalyst for the Maroon's dominant offensive showing. Luke Kammerman was everywhere, tallying eight points, including five assists.
