Averett at a Glance: Averett makes its home debut Wednesday after opening the season last Saturday on the road with a split against Methodist University. The Cougars lost 8-7 in Game 1 after battling back to tie the game before the Monarchs walked it off in the bottom the seventh. Averett, however, bounced back with a 14-5 win in six innings over Methodist in Game 2.
Greensboro at a Glance: The Pride lost 6-2 to The College of New Jersey on Sunday, but beat Roanoke College 13-4 later that afternoon.
