BRIDGEWATER, Va. – No. 40 Averett University women's tennis looked untouchable in its 7-0 win at Bridgewater College at the Mapp-Whitelow Tennis Courts on Tuesday afternoon.
All three doubles tandems won 6-0 to easily secure the first point for Averett (4-2, 2-0 ODAC). After that, the Cougars took apart the Bridgewater (1-5, 0-1 ODAC) singles lineup, highlighted by players
Amelie Schroeder and
Dilara Sultanova. The respective third and sixth players in Averett's squad, both won without dropping a single game.
The Cougars have a quick turnaround for play, hosting Division-II Shaw University at the Averett Tennis Courts, tomorrow, March 12 at 1 p.m.
