The Series: Averett and Lynchburg's contest on Saturday night will be the first between the schools' men's lacrosse programs.  
Averett at a Glance: Averett fell to cross-state Guilford, 17-4, on Wednesday night. Tigran Ceesay tallied a multi-goal game, his fifth of the season. Cory Habick notched his first collegiate assist, while the trio of Giovanni D'Amico, Deven Perry, and Casey Peterson led in ground balls for the Cougars with three. Freshman netminder Robbie Isenhour made 17 saves. 
Lynchburg at a Glance: The battle between number one and two in the ODAC lived up to the billing, as No. 13 Lynchburg took No. 8 Washington and Lee to overtime but fell 14-13 at the end on Wednesday night. Jake Rust tallied four goals for the Hornets, and Riley Hastings led the dishes with three. Finn Schmidt also notched three scores.
