FOREST, Va. — Averett University softball sophomores
Carson Bradsher and
Mackenzie Newcomb earned a spot on the 2025 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference Team, the league announced Tuesday. Bradsher was named to the All-ODAC First Team as an outfielder, while Newcomb earned All-ODAC Third Team at-large recognition as a shortstop.

A native of Cedar Grove, North Carolina, Bradsher made an immediate impact in her first season with the Cougars after transferring to Averett. She batted .453 in 43 games while totaling a program-record 73 hits, which included seven doubles and one triple. She also scored a team-high 40 runs with 22 stolen bases and a .509 slugging percentage as the Cougars' leadoff hitter. Bradsher earned ODAC Player of the Week honors once this season.
Newcomb, a native of Victoria, Virginia, batted .353 in 43 games this season and totaled 49 hits with nine doubles, two triples and a home run. She finished second on the team with 35 runs batted in and 27 runs scored.
In addition to the All-ODAC awards, sophomore
Kadence Woodlief was named to the ODAC All-Tournament Team following the completion of the tournament.
