SALEM, Va. — As Averett University softball heads into the Old Dominion Athletic Conference postseason, first-year head coach
Anna Coleman has seen growth from her team all season. While making the tournament was a goal, they aren't satisfied with just accomplishing that.
"I am very proud of how far this group has come this year," Coleman said. "They have grown together from Day 1 and have kept this goal of making the ODAC Tournament in mind all season. We have focused on staying true to our identity and controlling what we can control and that will be even more important as we go into the ODAC tournament."
Averett will face off against nationally ranked Virginia Wesleyan University in the opening game. The Marlins are the top seed in the ODAC.
