Kevin Zischke and redshirt sophomore
Trevor Testerman both earned a spot on the 2025 Virginia Sports Information Directors College Division All-State Team, the organization announced Wednesday. Zischke garnered VaSID First Team outfield honors while Testerman was named to the Second Team at third base.
Zischke, a right fielder from Bumpass, Virginia, started all 36 games for the Cougars. He earned All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference First Team, D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team and American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region Third Team accolades this season after he batted .367 with 55 hits, including eight doubles, two triples and nine home runs across 150 at-bats. He also scored 44 runs, drove in 25 RBIs, registered a .627 slugging percentage and a .452 on-base percentage, stole 13 bases in 16 attempts, tallied 17 multi-hit games and reached base in 33 of 36 contests. His nine home runs tied the program's single-season record and his three homers in a single game also tied the program mark for a single contest. In addition to all-conference honors, he was selected as the ODAC Player of the Week and selected to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week and was named to the Academic All-District Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators.
Testerman, a third baseman from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, earned All-ODAC Second Team honors while starting 35 games. The pre-med major batted .349 with 45 hits over 129 at-bats, including 10 doubles, five triples, and three home runs, drove in a team-high 33 RBIs and scored 38 runs while posting a .558 slugging percentage and a .459 on-base percentage. He also stole 15 bases and was named Sophomore Male Athlete of the Year at Averett's Night of Champions. Testerman also earned Academic All-District honors from CSC.
