1. Who is your role model to get into coaching?
Anna: I would say probably Ronnie and Taylor Dix. They coached me throughout high school and they've kind of taught me everything that I know and the way I teach kind of came from them. I loved their coaching style, how they had the ability to simplify the game and loved how they interacted with us and that's kind of how I've mirrored how I coach. And then of course if I had to choose someone else I would say Patty Gasso from Oklahoma just because she's the GOAT and not only does she have a super successful dynasty but I love the culture she's built there and how her team centers everything around Christ.
2. What is one food you would never eat pregame?
Anna: I don't really eat much before pregame honestly. I'm always nervous on gamedays and I really don't eat much. But one food I would never eat is probably any type of like seafood. Â
3. Do you have any pets?
Anna: I do have one dog, his name is BJ. He is the goodest boy in the whole entire world. He's a Black Lab mixed with Australian Shepherd. He's a mutt, but he's my fav.
4. If you weren't coaching, what job would you have?
Anna: Realistically, I think, I would like to be a PE teacher. I think that would be really fun and I'd still get to interact with the kids and maybe play some dodge ball, get some anger out when they are annoying me.
5. Which Mario Kart character do you use?
Anna:Â Definitely Yoshi. I don't really have a reason behind that other than he kind of just speaks to me.
6. Do you believe in aliens?
Anna:Â I do not believe in aliens. They're not real. There's just no way. They might be, but not in my mind.
7. You get to add one new rule to your sport. What would it be?
Anna:Â I don't know. Just as a catcher, I always hated the obstruction rule and I don't think it's fair. I wouldn't get rid of it completely, I just think it's written wrong.
8. Do you have any secret talents?
Anna:Â I do not have any secret talents. I wish I did, but I don't. At least nothing I can think of off the top of my head.
9. What emoji best describes your coaching style?
Anna:Â I would say probably like, the Zen emoji. I have been told that I have a calming presence on the field. I don't really show my emotion too much until a line is crossed.
10. Which fellow coach would you choose to be stranded on a deserted island with and why?
Anna: Can I pick Taylor? I think it has to be Taylor (Sullivan, softball assistant coach) because Taylor has kept up with me all year, all of her stuff and my stuff. And if I didn't have her, really I would have lost so many things. And I think we'd have a good time. I think we would find something fun to do, we would figure something out, it'd be a good time.Â
