DANVILLE, Va. — Averett University women's soccer senior
Isobel Evans' strong start to the season helped her earn Old Dominion Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors on Tuesday.
Evans, a native of Chesapeake, Virginia, has emerged as the maestro of Averett's new look offense in the early stages of the 2025 season. The senior attacker posted a goal and an assist in each of the Cougars' first two contests, while amassing seven shots on goal and playing all 90 minutes in each match. Evans' goal in the Cougars' 2-0 win over Pfieffer University went down as the game-winner, while her efforts against Salem College helped Averett put three goals on the board in a tightly contested 3-3 draw.
