FOREST, Va. – Averett University men's basketball redshirt sophomore guard
Timayahs Bracey collected the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's men's basketball offensive player of the week award, announced on Tuesday.
Bracey, a native of Richmond, Virginia, hit what eventually became the game-winning shot in Averett's 62-60 upset of No. 2 Randolph-Macon College on Jan. 7, to go along with a team-high 17 points and six assists.
Bracey has hit double figures in eight contests for the men's basketball team this season, and is the second leading scorer on the team, averaging 13.3 points per contest. He also is tied for the most triples made for the Cougars with 24.
Bracey's weekly honor makes it three this season for the men's basketball team, joining
Mason Mitchell and
Terrell Fitzgerald from Dec. 15, when the two swept the conference's weekly awards.
