SALEM, Va. — Averett University men's volleyball faced Roanoke College on the road for a conference match on Tuesday, where the Cougars fell in straight sets.

Averett (4-14, 0-7 ODAC) fell to Roanoke (14-5, 8-1 ODAC) with scores of 25-14, 25-19, and 25-22.  

Sophomore Yerai Collazo had nine kills for the Cougars' offense, while freshman setter Luke Brown added 19 assists. 

On the defense, freshman Aiden Williams had two solo blocks. Junior Dominick Jenkins and sophomore Liam Audrain had one solo block each and freshman Julian Hernandez added 10 digs.

Averett hosts Bridgewater College and Warren Wilson College on Saturday for a tri-match beginning at 1 p.m. Read Full Article
