DANVILLE, Va. – Averett University women's tennis continued its quality March form with a 7-0 sweep of Bridgewater College on Thursday afternoon at the Averett Tennis Courts.
Averett (5-2, 3-1 ODAC) took care of Bridgewater's (2-6, 0-2 ODAC) doubles lineups, as all three doubles matches resulted in 6-0 score lines.
In singles, junior
Siddhi Khot and sophomore
Sunna Maass collected their eighth wins of the season, respectively, as both of them won their matches 6-0, 6-0. At no. 4,
Ella Boddington got the start, and defeated Macy Harris, 6-0, 6-0. Sophomore
Mirte Post and junior
Ana Herrera recorded wins at the fifth and sixth spots, as both defeated their respective opponents, 6-1, 6-0.
The Cougars dip back into non-conference play, as they host the College of Wooster on Saturday, March 21. Start time is set for 4 p.m.
