DANVILLE, Va. – Continuing his award count, Averett University men's golf freshman Chase Myers earned the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division Rookie of the Year award and All-State First Team recognition on Monday.

Myers, hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, was also named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Rookie of the Year and a first-teamer back in April. He became the program's fourth VaSID Rookie of the Year selection, and first since Max Pettersson in 2023. Myers also became the program's 10th VaSID All-State honoree, and the fourth straight since 2023. 

Myers completed his first season in in Danville with four top-10 finishes, a tournament win at the Shenandoah Fall Invite on Sept. 29, 2025, and was ranked as high as 46th nationally, per Clippd. His scoring average was 73.5.
