Averett University Athletics

Averett adopted the Cougar as its mascot in the late 1970s. However, regular use of a Cougar in the logo didn't begin until the 1990s. A new Cougar head logo replaced the old logo in the late 1990s, until 2012 when the Averett Department of Athletics rebranded with a more modern logo.
