Dominick Lopez joined the Averett University baseball program as an assistant coach in August 2020.
A native of Williamstown, New Jersey, Lopez finished his collegiate playing career at Division II Mansfield University. In two seasons at Mansfield, Lopez started 46 of the 47 games he appeared in as a corner infielder. Prior to Mansfield, Lopez played his sophomore season at Camden County College, where he batted. 342 with 46 runs batted in, 33 runs scored and 12 doubles in 2018 after missing the 2017 season due to injury.
Lopez earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Mansfield in May 2020. He is pursuing his master's degree in business administration from Averett.
